INTERIOR RENOVATIONS OF THE TOWN HOUSE
First floor work at the Town House:
The Concord Town House is going to be undergoing some interior renovations. New phone and internet cables are to be installed throughout the building. In addition, the area in the first floor where the Finance Department is located will be painted and will have new carpet installed. It is expected that this work will occur between Friday, May 23rd and Monday, June 16th.
Temporary Relocation of Offices:
During the renovations, beginning on Tuesday, May 27th, the Finance Department will operate at the following locations:
Treasurer/Collector – Town House, 2nd Floor, Selectmen’s Room
Town Clerk – Town House, 2nd Floor, Hearing Room
Budgeting/Procurement – Town House, 2nd Floor, Hearing Room
Finance Administration & Payroll – Light Plant, 1175 Elm Street
Accounting (including Utility Billing) – Light Plant, 1175 Elm Street
Retirement – Assessors’ Conference Room, 24 Court Lane
All phone numbers and e-mail addresses will remain the same during this transition. On Monday, June 16th, we expect to return to the Town House 1st Floor offices.
Offices to Close at Noon on Friday, May 23:
The Collector, Town Clerk and other Town House 1st Floor offices will close at noon on Friday, May 23 in order to move the offices to the temporary locations. The Offices will reopen to the public at 8:30 am on Tuesday, May 27th, following the Memorial Day holiday, at the temporary locations.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that these renovations may cause. The renovations are necessary to re-wire the Town House so that it can be upgraded with a modern communication infrastructure. The first floor area has not had new carpet installed or a fresh coat of paint since 2000, so this work is due.
