Town Governance Committee Public Hearing May 14 at 7 PM at Town House

 CONCORD TOWN GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE
PUBLIC HEARINGS SCHEDULED

The Town Governance Study Committee cordially invites residents to attend one of two Public Hearings scheduled during May. The first will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at the Concord Town House. The second will be held on Tuesday, May 20 at Harvey Wheeler Community Center. Both forums will start at 7:00 pm. The May 14th hearing will be broadcast live on CCTV Channel 9. If you are unable to attend in person and wish to participate in the May 14 hearing, you may send an e-mail during the broadcast with a question or comment, which will be addressed during the hearing as time allows – tgsc@concordma.gov.

The Town Governance Study Committee was appointed by the Board of Selectmen at the close of the 2013 Annual Town Meeting, broadly charged with reviewing the town charter of Concord and its form of government, and evaluating whether any changes would be beneficial to the town. The Committee has met 26 times since May of 2013 and hosted two public forums. The Committee considered many issues and has crafted preliminary recommendations for the consideration of the Concord community. These are available on the Committee’s website - Click Here to Access.

The Committee welcomes public comment on these preliminary recommendations and invites the public to join us at our two public hearings.
Contact for the Committee is via e-mail: tgsc@concordma.gov or via postal mail: Town Clerk, P.O. Box 535, Concord, MA 01742. Click here to access the Committee’s web site.
