New Draft HDC Guidelines for Review
New Draft Historic Districts Commission Guidelines Now Available for Review and Comment

The Concord Historic Districts Commission is pleased to announce that a comprehensive update of the Concord Historic Districts Guidelines is now available for review and comment on the Historic Districts Commission’s webpage (click here) .

The Guidelines were originally developed in 2002 to provide information and guidance to property owners and other interested parties considering alterations to properties within the Historic Districts.  The Guidelines provide direction to property owners regarding the Commission’s reasoning in determining the appropriateness of any proposed changes within the districts. They also provide a valuable guide to the HDC bylaw, district descriptions, application process and specific submission requirements.   The original 2002 Guidelines are also available for review on the HDC’s webpage and will remain online throughout the comment period.

The Update will remain in draft form until September when a final review of all comments or revisions will be scheduled for discussion at a regularly scheduled Commission meeting before any final changes are approved.  Comments may be sent by email to Lara Kritzer, Senior Planner, at or in writing to the Historic Districts Commission, 141 Keyes Road, Concord, MA 01742.
