The Town’s comprehensive Parking Management Planning effort, begun in the spring 2012, is reaching the home stretch. The project, which focused on both Concord Center and West Concord, seeks to best manage parking through cost-effective, creative solutions that will improve parking experiences for all in Concord.
Two public meetings were held – the first, on Tuesday, October 23rd, focused on Concord Center (including the Thoreau Street Depot area and Emerson Playground). The second, on Thursday, October 25th, focused on West Concord Center (including the Rideout Playground). The public was invited to attend one or both meetings. The next step is for the Town to move forward with the final recommendations to improve parking management in Concord Center and West Concord.
The presentations by the consultant team from Nelson-Nygaard - that discuss the preliminary recommendations from the study, and share feedback gathered from the parking survey and open house held in May, as well as the data collected as part of the parking inventory and review – have been posted here for your information. Comments and feedback can be submitted by email to the Town’s project manager, Marcia Rasmussen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
