The Concord Town Clerk’s Office is hosting a Passport Fair on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm to provide passport information to U.S. citizens and to accept passport applications.  The Concord Town Clerk’s Office is joining the Department of State in celebrating Passport Day in the USA 2010, a national passport acceptance and outreach event. The Office is located on the first floor of the Concord Town House, 22 Monument Square.  Concord residents and non-residents are welcome to participate.  Appointments are not required.

U.S. citizens must present a valid passport book when entering or re-entering the United States by air.  U.S. citizens entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry must present a passport book, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government.  All family members, including children, must have their own passport when traveling by air to anywhere outside of the United States.  The State Department has announced that a passport fee increase will be coming later in 2010, so apply soon before the fee increase goes into effect.

Passport holders who are ready to renew their passports or need to make amendments to their passport (such as a name change) may also stop in for forms and information.  Contact the Town Clerk’s Office in advance if there are any questions as to proper documentation required and current fees at 978-318-3080 or via e-mail at townclerk@concordma.gov.  More information is available on our website – www.concordma.gov.  Application forms may be downloaded at www.travel.state.gov.  The Town Clerk’s Office will also be open during these special hours for dog licensing and other Town Clerk business.
