TOWN ELECTION – MARCH 31, 2009
The Town Clerk’s Office reminds voters of the upcoming Town Election on Tuesday, March 31. Voters will choose for the following offices: one for Moderator; two for Board of Selectman; two for School Committee; and one for Concord Housing Authority. There are three candidates running for two seats on the Board of Selectmen. There is also a Proposition 2½ Debt Exclusion question on the ballot, for renovations at Concord-Carlisle High School.
The polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Any resident who was registered to vote in Concord as of March 11, 2009 is eligible to vote in the Election. If you will be out of town on Election Day or unable to get to the polls in person, you are eligible to vote by absentee ballot. The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is Noon on Monday, March 30. The deadline for returning the ballot to the Town Clerk’s office is 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31. Absentee balloting may be done in person at the Town House from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Thursday until 6:00 pm), or by mail.
