Mass Turnpike Authority Announces Public Hearings:
Rep. Atkins Urges Local Participation
Representative Cory Atkins (D-Concord) announced today that the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority will hold four public hearings in the month of December in response to the Mass Turnpike Authority Board’s recent decision to implement toll increases in spring of 2009. These hearings have been scheduled to receive input from the public on the Board’s decision to raise tolls at the Weston and Allston-Brighton toll plazas by 75 cents and to raise tolls on the Ted Williams and Sumner tunnels from $3.50 to $7.
