The State Primary is the process by which the four major Parties in Massachusetts select candidates for the November Election ballot for U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative in Congress, Governor’s Councillor, State Senator, State Representative, and Register of Probate. The Primary is open to all voters who are registered in the Democratic, Republican, Green-Rainbow or Working Families Party, or as Unenrolled (formerly called “Independent”). Those registered in a Party may only receive their party’s ballot. Unenrolled voters may choose any one of the four ballots. Voters who are registered in a Political Designation (Libertarian, Conservative) will not be choosing candidates at this State Primary, so they are not eligible to vote at this election. All registered voters
will be eligible to vote at the November 4th State/Presidential Election.
Those who have moved within Concord and have not submitted a new voter registration form are encouraged to do so by August 27. This is the last date we are able to update your address for the voter list for September 16. Call us at 978-318-3080 or send us an e-mail at email@example.com if you have any questions, or if you wish to check your voting status.
