CONCORD’S EMERGENCY PLAN - Class 2/4/08

"The Town of Concord's Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans" Presentation. Many Concordians want to know more about the Town's emergency preparedness and response plans.  Find out how Concord has prepared for emergencies of many kinds, and how the Town operates during an emergency.  Join Concord’s Fire Chief Ken Willette, Public Health Administrator Brent Reagor and CERT Coordinator Debbie Bier to learn how you can help the Town be better prepared. "Emergency Preparedness at Home, Work, and in the Neighborhood" Presentation. Emergencies happen, often without warning. Learn what steps you can take to help keep yourself and your family safe in your own home, or assist at your place of work, in your neighborhood or in our community.  Q&A follows presentation. Taught by Fire Chief Ken Willette, Public Health Administrator Brent Reagor, Emerson Hospital’s Dottie Bernard, and CERT Coordinator Debbie Bier. CONCORD’S MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS - Class 2/25/08

The newly formed Concord Medical Reserve Corps’ goal is to strengthen our community by establishing a system for medical and public health volunteers to offer their assistance and expertise to existing medical and emergency service providers during times of community need (including an avian flu pandemic, among others). Join Fire Chief Ken Willette, Public Health Administrator Brent Reagor and CERT Coordinator Debbie Bier to learn more about the MRC and how they can help if they so desire. Monday, February 25 from 7-9:30 PM at the third-floor public meeting room at the Police/Fire Station on Walden Street (parking may be limited; car-pooling to this location is advised.) FREE CPR/AED TRAINING - Class 3/3/08

For Concord/Carlisle Community Emergency Response Team members only, including from Concord’s MRC, emergency shelter team, and CARET (the Concord Amateur Radio Emergency Team. For the person who only needs adult CPR training, this hands-on skills training prepares them to respond to respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adults.  This class is limited in size and will be held on Monday, March 3, from 6:00-10:00 PM.
