Schools

The Town Manager's office has been involved in the program to re-build the Town's elementary schools, so it was rewarding to see the beautiful new Thoreau School completed on-time and within budget. The 2006 Annual Town Meeting appropriated funds for the design of a new Willard School, and under the new School Building Authority regulations, the Town Manager sits as a member of the School Building Committee for that project. Every effort is being made to assure that the Willard project will be eligible for State building assistance should the Town vote to move forward with construction in 2007.
