1. When an application is filed for a septage system approval, the clerk in Inspections Services shall notify the Chair of the White Pond Advisory Committee that the application has been filed. No final action shall be taken on the application for seven calendar days.
2. The same procedure shall apply for any building permit application for a new structure or for a major renovation of an existing structure where a prior septage system approval was not requested. If the seven day waiting period was utilized for a septage system approval, then it will not be necessary to have a waiting period for the building permit application.
3. This memorandum shall in no way diminish the authority and responsibility of the Building Inspector, Sanitarian, or Board of Health for the final disposition of all permit applications.
The Chair of the White Pond Advisory Committee may request that a different individual be notified in their stead. Any questions or comments on this policy/procedure should be directed to the Town Manager's Office.
