The Concord Town Clerk’s Office, 22 Monument Square, Concord, MA is pleased to announce that it has been designated by the U.S. State Department as a Passport Acceptance facility.
Passport applications can be downloaded from the U.S. Department of State’s website at www.travel.state.gov. There, you will find information on the documents and photos required, the fees charged, and answers to travel-related questions.
We recommend that you download and complete the application, gather the necessary documents, and obtain passport photos prior to arrive in our office. Do not sign the application, as this must be done in person. All applicants must appear in person, regardless of age.
During the summer months (From July 6th through September 4th) we accept passport applications from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Mondays through Thursdays, and from 8:30 am to Noon on Fridays. After Labor Day, our normal hours will resume--Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and extended hours on Thursdays to 6:00 pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to closing time, with extra time if more than one family member will be applying at the same time. Passports require a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks for processing. Expedited passports are available in 2 to 3 weeks, for an additional fee. Please try to apply as far in advance as possible, in order to avoid extra fees.
If possible, please bring a total of two personal checks for payment of the passport fees (regardless of the number of applicants). Cash is also accepted. We are unable to accept credit or debit cards at this time.
