The Information Technology Department manages and deploys technology which enables employees all departments of Town Government to perform their jobs. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and general purpose applications systems integration is a key role of the IT Department. IT projects help to ensure that common tools used across departments as are integrated as possible. We manage the server, network and data infrastructure resources. We provide tools that support sharing information with the citizens and community. Information Technology participates in the selection, purchase, implementation and management of the Town’s telecommunication systems and infrastructure planning.
Concord’s telecommunications network serves the needs for several departments throughout Concord. Information Technology’s main goal is to support the various Concord offices with Connectivity, Data Availability, Security and insight to relevant technologies for purposes of meeting each department’s objectives.
