Blood Pressure Clinic                                                            Nurse performs Blood Sugar test

BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENING:  Wednesday's from 10:00 AM to Noon, nurses are available to take your blood pressure and answer questions.  To get the most out of your visit please bring a list of medications you are taking.  No need to call ahead just come in.

DIABETIC CLINIC:  The third Wednesday of each month from 10:00 AM to Noon our Diabetic Nurse will check blood sugar and address any concerns you may have regarding a pre-diabetic or diabetic condition, including nutritional counseling.  She has a wealth of knowledge, and is a member of the Board of the Acton visiting Nurses Association.  No need to sign up just come on in.

Digestive Disorders Support Group:  Please join Ms. Mary-Angela DeGrazia-DiTucci, President/Patient/Founder of the Association of Gastrointestinal Motility Disorders, Inc., as she offers her support, education and encouragement to those facing the challenge of living a full life with a digestive disorder.  This meeting is made up of "ordinary people with digestive issues" who come to share their stories in a safe and nurturing environment.  This meeting is held once a month.  Please call the COA or look in your newsletter to find out the date.

Eye Glass Cleaning and Adjustment:  The last Wednesday of each month from 11:30 to Noon.  We are very fortunate to be able to offer free eye glass cleaning and minor adjustment at the Harvey Wheeler Center,  provided by Alex Thayer, from Look Optical in Maynard.

LUNCH & LEARN:  Our Lunch & Learn events offer a unique opportunity to hear an educational and interesting speaker while enjoying lunch with other COA members.

COFFEE HOUR:  Come to our Coffee Hour and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a light snack while listening to different topics that are educational and interesting.  You will always walk away having learned something new!

SAFE MEDS AT HOME: This program sends trained volunteers into the home of a senior who would benefit from additional help in setting up their weekly pill box.  The service enables many seniors and their families to feel more comfortable with this often challenging part of remaining independent.
