The Concord Ag Committee and New Entry Sustainable Farming Project present
Meet Your Farm Neighbors
Thursday, March 26, 7-9PM
Harvey Wheeler Community Center Auditorium, West Concord
Spring--and the 2015 growing season is underway! The Concord Ag Committee invites you to meet your farm neighbors, learn what questions Concord farmers frequently hear from their neighbors and customers--and find out their answers.
Topics include the sights, sounds, and safety of farms, the cost of locally grown food, and the challenges of farming as a livelihood. This is great chance to get answers to your own questions about farming in Concord and to learn what a farm-friendly town looks like.
This Committee consists of five residents of the Town appointed by the Board of Selectmen each for staggered five-year terms. The membership shall be as follows:
Three members representing farmer interest who are engaged in farming;
Two citizens at-large interested in promoting farming
The purpose of the Committee is to provide a forum for the discussion of interest and concern to farmers in Concord and to advise the Board of Selectmen concerning how the town can help to support farming in Concord.
