Concord Public Works, in cooperation with the Concord Chamber of Commerce and the Concord Business Partnership, provides Concord businesses with a number of recycling and disposal opportunities for recyclable and difficult to manage wastes. Mixed Paper Recycling
The mixed paper recycling program provides Concord businesses with collection of mixed paper and corrugated cardboard. This program collects:

Businesses may choose either of the following collection options:
Wheeled Cart Service
65-gallon wheeled carts collected every other week.
Cost: $5/cart/pickup
Dumpster Service
Collected every other week. $60/month for a 10 cubic yard dumpster.
One Day Collection Event
Electronics (computers, TVs, etc.)
Fluorescent Bulbs and Ballasts
Rechargeable and Specialty Batteries
Mercury Devices
Computer monitors and TVs are banned from landfills and incinerators in Massachusetts because they contain substantial amounts of lead. Haulers will not knowingly accept these items in dumpsters along with regular waste. Fluorescent lamps contain mercury and are considered a universal hazardous waste. It is illegal for any business to dispose of fluorescent bulbs, or any item containing mercury, with regular commercial waste.

Hazardous Waste Disposal
Concord businesses that generate less than 27 gallons per month of hazardous waste may bring hazardous materials to the Minuteman Regional Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Lexington for a fee. The site is open one Saturday per month April - November from 9:00 - 2:00. Businesses are required to fax an Attendance Form with list of materials to the Safety Clean Hazardous Waste Department prior to the event. Payment by check is required at time of event. Small Business Curbside Recycling
Small businesses, apartments, condominiums, and other facilities that generate recyclable materials in quantities similar to those generated by a household may participate in the municipal collection program. To sign up contact Concord Public Works at 978-318-3240
