The Committee makes periodic direct-mail appeals to its hundreds of friends in and around Concord. Tax-deductible contributions to the committee, payable to of the "Town of Concord: Concord-San Marcos Sister Cities Committee,” are always welcome.
For many years, the committee derived significant income from swing dances held at the Concord Scout House. Concordians Sam and Jane Alexander long ran these events in a spirited and dedicated manner.
The Social Action Council of Concord’s First Parish Church made several generous annual donations to the Sister Cities Committee beginning in 2000, especially to support the committee's microcredit project. These donations were a particular source of pride to the committee and a critical source of loan support for the people of San Marcos, which are still very active today.
In addition, Concord-area physicians over many years have been most generous in providing medical supplies for the San Marcos clinic, and Emerson Hospital has been a great institutional supporter of this cause.
Other successful fundraising activities have included benefit concerts, raffles, and garage sales.
